AGRICULTURE

Nowadays drip irrigation is very important, while the scarcity of water resources,  the intensification of agricultural production and the degradation of agricultural lands have become increasingly urgent, usage of modern irrigation systems have gained even more importance. One of them is drip irrigation.

Why drip irrigation?

When watering in small doses once in a few days, plants absorb water and nutrients much better, meanwhile air permeability of the soil is maintained thus allowing normal functioning for the plants. As the drip irrigation delivers water and nutrients to the root system of the plant, less favorable environment is created for weeds. As a result of even distribution of water, it is impossible to over-moisten or leave individual areas unwatered.

Advantages of drip irrigation:

  • Increases yields, decreases or almost totally excludes erosion process of the soil;
  • Sharply reduces labor costs for the irrigation of the unit area;
  • Reduces the costs for water and fertilizers by 2-3 times;
  • Increases the efficiency of the use of nutrients by plants (up to 80%), does not cause soil salinization;
  • Watering is possible at any time of the day, which excludes sunburn of plants;
